1.Chongqing Wushan Three Gorges Dragon Ridge Hike
The Three Gorges Dragon’s Ridge is a spectacular ridge on the north bank of the Wushan Gorge, made up of layers and layers of limestone with traces of erosion from the ancient Yangtze River. Hiking along this ridge, you can look south to the vast waters of the Yangtze River and north to the new city of Wushan, which is layered on top of the turquoise water.
The first China National Geographic “Three Gorges Hiking” Challenge was held here on March 15, attracting many hiking enthusiasts to experience this amazing hiking route.

- Recommended route: Start from Wushan County, pass through the starting point of the Three Gorges Dragon Ridge Hike, Zhenshui Pagoda, Denglong Terrace, Denglong Service Station, Longevity Pavilion, arrive at Denglong Peak, then climb to the top of Denglong Peak, and finally go to Qin’an Strawberry Garden.

2.Chongqing Fengjie Three Gorges Top Hike

This is a hiking route that perfectly combines natural beauty with humanistic history. Starting from the Baidi City-Qutang Gorge Scenic Spot, there are several viewpoints and punch points along the way, and you will finally reach the top of the Three Gorges.
During the hike, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Qutang Gorge, including the steep peaks, the rushing river and the unique karst landforms, as if you are in a flowing landscape scroll. After passing through the steep section of the Sixty-six Corners, you will arrive at the top of the Three Gorges, overlooking the rolling hills and feeling the nature’s ghostly workmanship.

- Recommended route: Take the ferry from Baidi City to the Ancient Elephant House, then pass through the Chijia Building, Poetic Trestle, Hidden Dragon Trough, Chicken Bone Beam, Sixty-six Abductions, and Huangyan Beam, and finally arrive at the top of the Three Gorges.

- Hiking time: about 4-6 hours

3.Beibei Jinyun Mountain hiking
This hiking route starts with the Jinyun Mountain Fitness Stairway, with hundreds of steep stone steps leading straight up the mountain. Along the way, bamboo cover, ancient trees, mottled stone steps and tree shadows intertwined with a quiet mood.

In the hiking process, you can also visit the CPC Central Committee Southwest Bureau Jinyun Mountain office site, to understand the red history. When you climb to the top of the mountain, the eyes open up, you can overlook the city of Beibei and the winding Jialing River, feel the majestic beauty of the Bayu mountains and water.

The end point is a thousand-year-old temple Jinyun Temple, incense, ancient flying eaves covered in pale ginkgo trees.

- Recommended route: start from the first Yuanbei station, through the Jinyun Mountain Fitness Stairway, Jinyun Nine Peaks Trail, Baiyun Guanyuan, the Southwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Jinyun Mountain office site, He Long’s old residence, and finally arrive at the Jinyun Temple. You can choose to take the cable car down the mountain.
